Local Impact
With each project we develop, we maximize our local impact on the community where the project is located.
What is Local Impact?
Local impact is our effort to maximize the benefit of our solar farms to the surrounding community through every step of development. It is a core aspect of our business model that distinguishes O2 emc from other developers.
Project Development
Sometimes maximizing our local impact involves minimizing our impact. Learn about our environmentally sensitive development process and all the benefits of clean energy here.
Local Jobs
We hire local residents, contractors, and sub-contractors and use equipment manufactured in the United States whenever possible. Learn more about the local jobs our projects create here.
Local Farmers
Local farmers maintain our solar farms with sheep, bees, and other sustainable farming practices. Learn more about our sustainable agriculture practices here.
Local Schools
O2 emc works with public schools and community colleges to broaden their understanding of solar energy. Learn more about our educational initiative here.
Local Community
For each project, we host an Opening Ceremony to thank everyone who helped make the project a success. Our projects cannot be developed without the support of the local community. Visitors are given the chance the tour the solar farm, hear from local officials about the economic benefits of the project, and enjoy food from local vendors.
